WHO IS THE PRINCESS?
THE STORY OF THE
PRINCESS AND THE C
GET IN TOUCH
In March 2016, I went to the doctor to report some unusual and ongoing stomach discomfort. My fear was ovarian cancer but this was worst case scenario.
After three months of blood tests, CT and MRI scans, I was diagnosed with a Borderline Ovarian Cyst, with a 10% chance of malignancy. On 30 June, I had a radical hysterectomy, during which cancer was found in my ovaries, tubes and womb.
All tissue-based cancerous cells were removed but on 8 August, I embarked on a weekly chemotherapy programme to blast anything microscopic that remained.
These are my cancer musings and a guide to how to kick cancer's arse with my designer heels, the princess way, with style, panache, a touch of class and a large sprinkling of sass.
